my hands are like ice cubes

Taxes are done. Now the major issue is dealing with the fact that I have spare money lying around. Because it’s going to get burned pretty quick. It’s unavoidable. But I am going to try and buy things I need, like some car maintenence, new matresses, some home decor. Stuff that always gets pushed off.

I did have some audio equipment selected, but lets be honest, I might as well save that until I’m ready to launch into a production, instead of having ‘just in case’.

I will be buying some red sneakers however.

HOUSE continues to be my favorite show on television, prompting me to review Hugh Laurie’s work on Jeeves and Wooster which I find I enjoy immensely. Hugh and Fred are fighting for crush-o-the-moment, and Hugh has one hell of a right. If you’re into Brit comedy, it gets my recommend. The show itself is an ecclectic blend of Medical Drama, science lesson and character study with some snappy dialogue and a boat load of angst thrown in. I do so enjoy angst, and snappy dialogue, so it’s right up my alley. Production-wise it’s effortless to watch while not mimicking the neo-Bruckheimer school of cinematography and editing.

LOST is also my main watch, but as everyone seems to be onboard with this, I won’t rehash why I enjoy it so.

No Trade Refused shoot this weekend, which I expect to be long (and hopefully productive) days. This has set quite a bit on hold recently, but my Bluecat entry is away and the next one is on deck. Nickel’s on pause until I get back and get some mundane things out of the way. It’s also given me a headache of late, which isn’t unusual for 50-60 pages in. I hope the break helps.

Baseball season approaches. This make me hum to myself on sunny days.

Back to the taxes thing. I really want to buy a television, but I can’t quite justify it. Damn my impulsive consumer nature, leave me be already! New clothes also speak to me. Then there are those mag subscripts and bookshelves I need. God help me I am WEAK!
