dance, mario, dance!

Considered getting the new DDR Mario Party thing, because I enjoy DDR and all the Mario titles are why the Gamecube is such a great consol to own. It seems though that people are out of control for this one, even though reviews have rated it less challenging than the other DDR Mixes.
For those who haven’t played any of the DDR and fail to understand the phenomenon, my best description is that it’s sort of like Tetris, except your controller is your feet basically, so it takes a different level of coordination, and also a fairly decent lung capacity if you plan on playing for more than two or three rounds. It’s also really great for those folks that haven been delluding themselves into thinking they can dance- not really because it teaches you to dance, just that it gives the term ‘dancing’ to whatever that spaz crap is that you pull on the dance-floor, you no rhythm honky. In any case it’s fun, and vaguely justifiable as exercise where most other videogames are not.
But it’s all for naught as the ebay packs, which were retailing at 50$ are going for about double now, and none of the VG Boutiques seem to have it in stock. I may have to settle for Mario Party 7, which is a ton of fun with a group of friends, as are all the Mario Parties. If you’re not game-savy, Mario Party is like this generation Jenga, or Monopoly or Trivial Pursuit- a boardgame without the board, and I defy any person to not have fun while your playing. Mario Party 7 now allows for 8 players! Which is madness, and I would like to have a big marathon Mario Party during the Hols since a few folks should be around. Those interested can give me a shout.
