In Summer 2015 the NC State Industrial Extension Service rebranded to Industry Expansion solutions. As part of that rebrand initiative, a new website was needed to align with NC State brand and technology guidelines. The existing IES site had been built on the Expression Engine CMS and contained over 14 years worth of content from multiple previous migrations. I was tasked with a complete redesign and migration the site to the WordPress CMS.
This project relied heavily on custom page layouts, custom taxonomies and post types and custom plugin development. In addition to a compressed timeline of being ready for launch in just 8 weeks.
